Our history began in 1922 when Franciszek Kolasa (having the title of Master baker) started to plumb the mysteries of baking in a small rented room in Stryszów. Every morning he delivered bread on horseback to the neraby villages. Unfortunately, after World War II the bakery was nationalized. In 1991 the family decided to resume baking. Franciszek taught how to produce kvass and he revealed traditional recipes.

Over the last decades our business has been constantly developing, which gave rise to new pastries and places where you can buy them. Galicjanka is such a one – it’s a bakery, confectionery and café in one unique place where tradition meets modernity. Every day from early morning until late in the evening we try to sate your appetite for a sweet life.

In the world of on-line chatting, texting and virtual meetings, our dream is to come back to reality. A magic return of a human being treated as a person rather than any electronic device like computer or keyboard. We wish to introduce meetings which will take place without any particular reason, but will be focused on coffee, cakes, desserts, breakfast and meetings as such. We also wish a bit of art without unnecessary splendour or judgement and just a bit of unpretentious fun.
